"Concert at Pershing Square"

On one of my lunch breaks during one hot summer day,

I went to watch a concert at the park in downtown Los Angeles.

As the main act began to play,

I suddenly witnessed three figures go up on stage,

though uninvited, were certainly welcomed by the band.

The first was a toothless White homeless woman,

the second was a frail Black blind man, and

the third was a crazy Asian lady with wiry hair dressed all in black.

The trio danced to the music, without a care in the world,

as if nobody was watching.

I realized, at that point, that one may lose

their home, their sight, or even their sanity,

but never their rhythm and love for the music called Life.

I got teary eyed, smiled, and thought about you.

Because when I think of what is good in this life, I think about you.

You are my life and you are the music that I dance to.

"The Key to My Dreams"

"The Key to My Dreams"
Music, Lyrics, & Vocals by Sean J. Z. Saba
19 January 1999

YESTERDAY, I WAS LOST, THOUGHT THIS DAY WOULD NEVER COME.

KEPT GIVING THE EXCUSE, I’LL NEVER FIND THE RIGHT ONE.

THEN THERE YOU WERE, YOU CAME ALONG…

LIKE A BREEZE, WITH SOME SWEET SONG…

FROM TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS , WE AGREED TO SHARE ONE.

TODAY, NOW A MAN, I TAKE GREAT PRIDE,

AS I TAKE YOU FOR MY BRIDE.

NOW THAT YOU’LL BE MY WIFE,

AND FRIEND FOR LIFE.

TOMORROW, AND ALL OUR DAYS…

ALL THE YEARS THAT COME OUR WAY.

NOT ONLY WILL I BE THERE FOR YOU,

I PROMISE I’LL ALWAYS BE TRUE.

BECAUSE OF YOU, I NOW KNOW CAN DO ANTHING!

IF I COULD, I WOULD GIVE YOU EVERYTHING.

NOW MY WORLD DOESN’T HAVE TO REMAIN SURREAL.

I CAN GRAB HOLD OF EVERTHING THAT’S REAL.

IF LIFE SOMETIMES ISN’T AS GREAT AS IT SEEMS...

NO, NO MORE, I HAVE YOU, THE KEY TO MY DREAMS.

THAT’S YOU, THE KEY TO MY DREAMS.
